Investment Strategies

Most investment professionals will tell you to "ride it out" in times of market downturn. Not us. We can help clients create long-term investment strategies that work when the market goes up, down and even sideways with a pro-active plan that seeks to grow and protect your assets.

At The J.C. Warrick Financial Group, we manage your money in ways that attempt to minimize your risk, while still offering growth. This commitment to handling your finances is what sets us apart from other Advisors. While we may not outperform the hottest investment fad, our clients can consistently attain their financial goals over the long haul...and they sleep at night.

What is a risk-averse portfolio?

A prudent risk-averse portfolio is one that can make you money over time, with less volatility and less exposure to risk

Multiple Investment Strategies: Stocks and Futures

  • High Dividend
  • Covered Writing
Stock Selection Criteria:

Client portfolios are diversified into three areas -- High Income, Growth & Income, and Aggressive Growth. The reason for this is rather simple; since no one-investment strategy is always effective, it is imperative that our first concern is to preserve investment capital by utilizing strategies that will help our clients to increase their assets regardless of market performance.

High Income: To generate income within a client's portfolio, we normally recommend income producing stocks such as REIT's. While a bond offers you a fixed interest payment with a chance for limited capital growth, we select high-income stocks which have the opportunity to provide high income, while also increasing the dividend and positioning the investment for a capital growth opportunity. Individual suitability will always be first and foremost.

Growth & Income: For this component we are striving to find equities that have had a history of good earnings and also a history of paying dividends. The ideal growth & income candidates will have lower multiples than the market averages, be out of favor normally, and be trading at no more than twice its tangible book value.

Aggressive Growth: We look for equities that may be breakout candidates, or companies that are out of favor-- but have increased earnings, yet may or may not be trading close to their tangible book value. Our goal here is to create major capital gains.

Our three-strategy program is an attempt to grow assets on a steady basis over time.
